Technically they can live just about anywhere but foam beds like tempurpedics aren t their favorite spot to hang out. The fact that the mattress is made of memory foam does not prevent bed bugs from being present on the walls of the bed mattress or sheets and reproducing there.
Bed bugs do not generally live within the mattress regardless of which type you own. Bed bugs are small but visible wingless insects which feed on human blood. Bed bugs also reproduce rapidly.
Bed bugs can hide and lay eggs in seams pockets and folds so you need a cover devoid of these hiding areas. Instead they stay on the surface just hidden out of view and away from the light of day. This makes it more dangerous for them to live there as opposed to the underside of the mattress.
